Organized by the Haitian Federation of Football (FHF), this tournament initiated on August 11th, 2016, gathers 20 teams selected by FHF to participate. To date, our U15 boys’ category have played 4 matches and won 3 and are moving along to the next stages of this competition.

This year, 430 applicants born between 2001 and 2008 have been evaluated by the FC TORO Academy for sponsored positions in U10, U12, U14 and U16 categories.

Launched on August 8th, the 2016 FC TORO tryouts are being conducted over a three week period during which applicants have an equal opportunity to show their talents. This highly competitive process will lead to the identification of new sponsored players to integrate the FC TORO Academy.

This past year, FC TORO undertook the project to construct its very own sports facility in order to provide the ideal practice setting for our children. Turning this project into reality has become inevitable as our club expands and moves foward with creating an Academy (read more below). The FC TORO sports facility will not only expand our soccer training capacity with 3 new fields but will also provide a recreational environment for all the members of the FC TORO familly including other siblings, parents and friends.

FC TORO has set the grounds to become a soccer Academy with the aim to provide the technical, tactical and system training necessary to set our standards higher and open up new opportunities for our children who wish to pursue soccer at a professional level. Jerome Velfere previous assistant coach of the Haitian National Soccer Team, has joined FC TORO as technical Director to lead this initiative. Coach Velfere will oversee and reinforce all coaching activities from training and selecting coaches to organizing, planning and running daily drills during practices.

Forty two players from different countries in the Caribbean including 3 FCTORO players from Haiti, participated in the final stages of the Digicel kickstart tryouts that were held in Jamaica from June 20th to the 24th, 2016. 

After 4 days of tryouts under the supervision of Manchester City coaches, Fritz Paul 14 years old was selected amongst the 8 soccer players from the Caribbean region to attend the Manchester City Academy for one month of training next October.

FC TORO players take the 3 spots to represent Haiti at the final stages of the Digicel Kickstart tryouts organized by the Manchester City coaches. Fritz Paul, Mackendy Richeme and Ledger Lajeunesse headed to Jamaica on June 20-24, 2016.

The final stages of the 2016 FC TORO FLAGDAY Tournament were held on May  8, 14, 15 and 18, 2016.

As we celebrate our wins and successes, we are raising the bar higher for the 2017 edition of our FLAGDAY Tournament! As we are expecting more teams, more players, more games!!!
