For the past four consecutive years, FC TORO has been organizing the FLAGDAY Tournament in May around Haitian Flag Day celebration. This major event has been reuniting teams from all over the country around the beautiful game of soccer. Competition carried out over several weeks includes eliminatory games for local visiting teams where the winners get qualified to move on to the final stages of the tournament usually held over 2 to 4 days. In 2016, 32 teams including 4 girls’ teams participated in the eliminatory phases of the FLAGDAY edition IV tournament.

At our club, the FLAGDAY Tournament is also a several weeks event where our children participate in Intrasquad competitions for selection of the teams to move forward to the final stages of the FLAGDAY Tournament.

To us competition is a means to excel together and we strongly believe in giving each kid the opportunity to compete.

​

This past year it has been an extraordinary experience to see how Intrasquad activities have allowed our younger and older athletes to shine at a level that they hadn't before. We've seen individual players become better team players and introvert players become great scorers... And most importantly we've seen our kids give their best at a game that they love! There was laughter; there were tears all around the beautiful game of soccer.

The FC TORO FLAGDAY Tournament is also an opportunity to gather the FC TORO family of parents, friends and supporters...This once year event is definitely not to be missed!!!
